Latest Scams
Keep up to date with some of the latest scams and how to avoid them by reading below. You can also visit The little book of BIG scams and Get safe online for more information.
Fraudsters send spoof text messages and emails to try and get your personal information. These messages may well have been doctored so that they appear to come from a genuine Bank number or email ID. They usually contain links which lead to websites asking you to enter your Digital Banking login information or other personal information. Don’t open suspicious text, emails or attachments therein.
Customers can be targeted by unscrupulous fraudsters, and sometimes told not to trust bank staff. These fraudsters may offer exciting 'investment opportunities' or maybe offer to undertake unsolicited building work on your home, so beware. They may ask people to pay money into a ‘safe account’ at another bank. Don’t be caught out.
